Day 3 on the Alaska Highway took us to the Yukon, where we visited Watson Lake, where the famous Sign Post Forest lives. Miss Lilly painted our sign for us (which got a little messed up when we sprayed it with protectant) and we hung it for all to see – please stop by and let us know if you find it if you are ever headed that way!
We then visited Smith Falls – so much water – and a place called Whirlpool Canyon, where so much water came around a bend and pushed debris high up onto the shore at the corner (that much water would be a sight to see)! Both were very cool!
On the way to Smith Falls, I found one of the weirdest mushrooms I’ve ever found…and you know how much I love finding mushrooms! …aaagh! How cool is this thing?
…and on to Whirlpool Canyon
…and we saw lots of Bison with so many babies!
Lots of signs for Caribou and Moose… but no sightings yet. We did see Bear #2 – those darn black bears eating on the side of the road are just the cutest things.
